IG dissolves Special Tactical Squad

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris has ordered the immediate dissolution of the IGP Special Tactical Squad (IGP-STS).
The IG also ordered the re-deployment of all the personnel of the squad to other departments and formations of the Force.
The disbandment may not be unconnected with the unauthorized raid of Chief Edwin Clark’s residence by some personnel in the unit.
The Squad was headed by a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Kolo Yusuf before the directive of the dissolution.

A statement in Abuja on Friday night by the Force Spokesman, Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood stated that senior officers attached to the erstwhile STS who were linked with complicity or played conspiracy roles in the unauthorized, illegal and unprofessional misconduct in the search of Clark’s residence in Asokoro are presently undergoing strict disciplinary procedures.
Moshood also stated that the tactical operations and statutory core Police duties that the dissolved STS were charged with are now collapsed and will be carried out by other operational, investigative and response units of the Force.

POLITICSYobe Gov Endorses APC National Secretary, Buni as Successor

Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has endorsed the nomination of the national secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Mai Mala Buni, to fly the party’s governorship ticket in the state.
The governor also endorsed the current Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan, for Senatorial ticket, just as he endorsed his spokesman, Abdullahi Bego, for Jakusko/Bade Federal Constituency.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of youths from Yobe Zone A had thronged the Government House, Damaturu to call on Ibrahim Gaidam, to contest for the Senate seat for Yobe Zone A.
The youths were received at the Government House by Abubakar Ali, the deputy governor.
The leader of the youths, Umar Kalli, said: “We believe that although Governor Gaidam is successfully completing his second term in office, we cannot allow him to go and rest.
“We need him in the Senate because we believe he is the best person who can represent our people there”.
On Thursday, the state chapter asked Gaidam to announce his successor.
A communique issued by the deputy governor Aliyu after a stakeholders’ meeting, also endorsed Gaidam for Senate in 2019.
“The meeting resolves that a discretion is given to HE Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam to present a competent and acceptable person as the Gubernatorial Flag bearer of our great party (APC) in the forthcoming 2019 general elections for our dear state,” it read.

Restructuring Nigeria becomes an election issue

Nigeria's Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. (File, AFP)

The political make-up of Africa's most populous nation is coming under scrutiny after a leading election hopeful promised greater devolution if he becomes president at polls next year.
Nigeria's former vice-president Atiku Abubakar said this week he was in favour of handing more powers to the country's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory if he wins in February.
"Over the years, since (the) military got involved governing the country, they have created too many states and concentrated a lot of power in the centre," he said.
"So, we believe we should return to the principles of true federalism: devolving more power and resources to the components of federalism in terms of security, healthcare, education."
Such issues "will be best dealt with by people nearer to the people than the FG (federal government), which is too far away", Abubakar, 71, told reporters in an interview.
In July, states and local governments received 656.6 billion naira ($1.8bn) from a total of 821.9 billion naira in federal funding, according to official statistics.
The money shared out from the central account comes from revenue generated by the states themselves.
But more prosperous states - particularly those in the oil-producing south - have long complained they are subsidising less productive counterparts, especially those in the more impoverished north.
'Bottle feeding'
Abubakar's call for a loosening of federal ties is significant because it stands at odds with the position of his fellow politicians from the north, including Buhari.
Until now, the idea has had more support in the south.
Nigeria as a single entity dates back to 1914 when British colonial rulers amalgamated northern and southern Nigeria for commercial purposes.
But there have been tensions ever since - and questions about whether the union can hold - because of ethnic, cultural and religious divisions.
Regional identity is fiercely guarded in Nigeria, which is almost evenly divided between a mainly Muslim north and the largely Christian south. The most obvious division has been between the north and south.
Abubakar, who was president Olusegun Obasanjo's deputy from 1999 to 2007, described Nigeria as "a number of countries in one country".
Critics of the current political set-up, such as the Restructure Nigeria group, have called the current system of allocations "unfair, ridiculous and bizarre" and suggested it provides no incentives and breeds corruption.
Ending "unitary 'feeding bottle' federalism" and giving states more control of areas from natural resources to policing would kickstart moribund local economies and improve security, they argue.
Militancy in the oil-producing south has largely been fuelled by demands for greater control of the revenue generated by oil and gas.
Repeated lack of central funding for infrastructure has equally contributed to the revival of separatist sentiment in the southeast.
But Buhari's administration has maintained that good governance and better execution of infrastructure projects is more important than restructuring.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo said last month: "It is about managing resources properly and providing for the people properly, that is what it is all about."
He recalled his time as a commissioner in Nigeria's commercial capital, Lagos, between 1999 and 2007 and how he fought for financial autonomy for the state.
"We felt that there was a need for the states to be stronger, for states, to more or less, determine their fortunes."
Osinbajo on Tuesday said Abubakar lacked proper understanding of restructuring, calling his plan "vague" and ill thought-out.
Support
Abubakar, who wants to secure the ticket for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, admitted that his position would not be popular in his native northeast Nigeria.
But it could be a canny political move to win support in the south, which traditionally has not been inclined to back northern Muslim candidates.
The ethnic Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere in the southwest has led calls for greater devolution. The region includes megacity Lagos - a key election battleground and must-win prize for any presidential hopeful.
"When people talk about good governance and promise good roads, agricultural development and all that, we just laugh," Afenifere leader, Ayo Adebanjo, said last weekend.
"There must be a country first before any development."
Nigeria is riven with security challenges from Boko Haram Islamists in the northeast to Biafran separatists in the southeast and violence between farmers and herders in central states.
Peace and stability would be elusive without restructuring, he added.

Buhari’s minister tells Nigerians abroad to return home

The federal government has called on Nigerians in the diaspora to return home and help build the Nigeria of everybody’s dream, stating that things are changing in the country.
The minister was in the U.S. to sensitise diaspora Nigerians on the Presidential Executive Order V signed by President Muhammadu Buhari in February, to improve local content in public procurement with science, engineering and technology components.
Mr Onu thanked the Nigerians in the diaspora for their remittances to Nigeria estimated at $22 billion yearly, saying it is a major contribution for our nation “but we want you to return home”.
The minister said: “Please we want you to return home, it is important. Not everybody will return but some can start coming home, and that’s the essence.
“I heard all the complaints – people will do this and nobody responds and all that and so on; yes, these are things that happened in the past and we can’t correct these things just overnight.
“This is the truth, there is no way you can make these changes and then make the corrections and all that overnight. But the important thing is that there is a change”.
According to him, there are many Bill Gates in Nigeria, adding, we need to give you the opportunities and we are giving these opportunities.
“If there were pioneers that built America, there must be pioneers to build Nigeria. Please I beg you, let us not wait until everything is ready. Somebody has to get it ready.
“If we keep waiting until everything is ready, it may never be. We must decide that we have to look at the future of our children and grand children.
“Let’s not look about ourselves. So we have to think of the future, we have to think of the greatness of our nation.
He said Nigeria had never had it like this before about the level of infrastructure development that was going on in our country, stressing that the country is having changes across board.
“Things are changing in our country, and if all of us can walk together, if we can do that, then we can now build a great nation that all of us would be proud of.
“This is the message and I believe that this is also your intentions that our nation will be a great nation. Please, you should never have any doubt about the future of our country.
“We have some of the most intelligent people in the world. I can tell you this because I know those Nigerians who have done so well in the best universities, in the best research centres in the world.”

POLITICSNsukka/Igbo Eze South constituency in 16 years of darkness – APC Reps Aspirant, Ugwuoke

6th September, 2018
An All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives aspirant for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Barr. Maximus Ugwuoke has bemoaned what he called poor representation of the people by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the past 16 years.
Ugwuoke, who spoke during his official declaration for the position at his Agbamere-Umabor ward, said the constituents had been in darkness for 16 years.
In a speech he titled, “Sunrise of Change from the East”, he said, “Where you are today is Nsukka East, this is where I come from. You know that in human history wise men do come from the East just as the sun always rises from the East. Today, another sun is rising from the Eastern part of this Constituency and that sun is the sunrise of change.
“We cannot abandon our future to the balderdash of political cabals who do not hold our future but are merely poised to watch over it by our mandate. Our future is in the hands of God. Power belongs to Him and so we cannot continue to be lukewarm in the face of political cankerworm that had not only cracked our common cake but have continued to consume it in our names leaving us with the deceptive fiery tell that it is infested with maggots. Let the sympathy of our children’s future kill our apathy for political participation because in politics our future is decided. It is for this reason that I offer myself for this race.”
Stating why he chose to run on the platform of the APC, he said, “We have had enough of the recycling of same old order of representations in our constituency with the attendant leadership failures and inertia.
“The most tragic is their continued quest for continuity at all costs. APC has a broom as its symbol. The broom is used to sweep clean the house. When you get to a dirty house, you don’t use umbrella to sweep, rather we use the broom.
“Nsukka Igboeze South Federal Constituency has not had a viable representation over the years, our constituency has more to offer than what we are offering now, and our constituency is a place that all of us should be proud to come from. It is for this reason that I chose this broom so that we can sweep away the old order and the new order will come.”
He further stated that “our present leaders are not accessible. How can one be claiming to represent a people one doesn’t interact with? How can one know their problems and proffer solutions for them?. So the first thing I intend to do is to maintain interactive sessions with my people through Town Hall meetings, social and mass media.
He promised to provide welfare packages for the Indigent people of his constituency through Educational Scholarship Trust Fund, Health Care Trust Fund, and Contingency Fund for Traders, Artisans, and SMEs in Nsukka /Igboeze South Federal Constituency.
“I will spearhead and undertake projects such as establishment of constituency-based Agro-Allied factories for harnessing and processing of the vast cash crops- cashews, oranges, cassava, palm produce etc.
“I will bring the attention of the Federal Government to bear on the exploration of the mineral deposits found in my constituency, especial the oil deposit discovered at Eha-Ndiagu, which has been politicized over the years. The employment these projects would bring to our teaming youths and unemployed people will be alarming,” he added.
In a remark at the rally, Hon. Emeka Umeakukar, South-East Coordinator of “I stand with Buhari Campaign Organization”, who spoke through Hon. Barr. Ferdinard Ugo Ukwueze, the Director General of Hakuna Matata Support group, said that Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency had in the past 16 years been seeking for a competent candidate to represent them.
According to him, “Nsukka/Igboeze South Constituency deserves a qualitative representation after all these years, indeed somebody who is intellectually alert and competent to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives.
“So, today marks the beginning of a political exodus for the people of Nsukka/Igboeze-South from Egypt like the people of Israel, victoriously, into the Promised Land. I call on all and sundry to contribute to in order to rescue this constituency from the shackles of the present poor representation.”

Theo Ukpaa: I Was A Player And I Broke Many Hearts, But I Never Raped Emilia Samuel

After more than a week of silence after he was accused of rape by Emilia Samuel, a former staffer of Linda Ikeji, Theo Ukpaa, finally responded to her claims on Friday.
Samuels had accused Ukpaa of repeatedly raping her, saying the alleged molestation began when she was 16 years old.
In his response, Ukpaa described Emilia’s rape allegation as false, insisting that he is strongly against rape.
He punctured holes in Emilia's story, insisting that it was "entirely impossible" for him to have raped her.
Admitting that he was a "player" before, he stated that he had "broken many hearts" but he is "different now".SEE ALSODays After His Wedding, Linda Ikeji’s Staffer Theo Ukpaa Accused Of Rape
He also hinted at taking legal action, even though he he said he had forgiven Emilia.
Read Theo Ukpaa's full statement below:
Hello Everyone,
So much has been said about me in the past week including accusations of rape and sexual molestation. I would have come out to speak up since but I was advised to first save my marriage. as l was just a few days into the marriage and Still on honeymoon when the news about the allegations broke on social media. It is sad that we now live in a world where a complicated negative story put on social media can attract so much hatred and is enough to pull a career of over l2 years into the trash. People have called me all sorts of names and so many actions have been taken without even trying to investigate if the story was true or not... talk about JUNGLE JUSTICE.
I stand strongly against RAPE and condemn any such act.
Dear Nigerians. l have been framed and painted as a monster but that is not who I am. I spent the earlier part of my young life volunteering for Little Saints Orphanage. My friend. -s Kolade Stephen and I will mentor the children, teach them how to sing. dance and act. The convener trusted us with the children and today they are grown and some are even married. They can testify about my good deeds and how I never harassed anyone.
Let me also clearly state here that I don't have any issues with my former MD and how she dismissed me from work. Linda lkeji is one of the most wonderful persons 1 have ever met on the face of the earth. It was best that both parties part ways as this accuser was determined to attack my means of livelihood and deliberately dragged an innocent woman into this mess. Ms. Linda has a strong passion and great drive to achieve her dreams, an unstoppable force.
Back track to when I met Emilia Samuel in 2008. She had come for the Spice Girls show at SpiceTV and didn't win. After the show she waited behind and asked me to drop her anywhere on the mainland. I told her my car was already full. So I gave Emilia some money and she asked for my number which I wrote on a piece of paper for her and she left. There was no telling that she was fond of me. Emilia didn't have a phone at the time but she would flash me with her mum's number and when I called back she would say "please tell my mum l have a job so I can leave this house". At this point we were already friends. There was never an event of Rape, forced breaking hotel doors or a Brenda in the room or a Sisi Oge in ljebu or cleaning of blood in the office. These are all false allegations as you will see below:
Let me carefully break down her story one paragraph at a time:
Emilia: ”0k it started when i went for Spice girl competition organised by Soundcity. i was among the girls picked and i made it to top 3, the winner got 30k then I and Kaka (Can 't remember her surname) our own prize was to get trained by them on catwalk and poses twice in a week at their office in Lekki”
Theo: For the Spice girl show, there was nothing like prize of getting trained on catwalk twice a week at any Lekki office. It was never in the package. My colleague back then, Deji Adeniji is the Chanel Manager for SpiceTV today and he can attest to this. Let me state that there was no training for anybody as she has claimed.
Emilia: ”It Happened on the supposed starting day i got there and did not see Kaka. Theo said she called that she had relocated to Port Harcourt so they will arrange for her training over there. i called Kaka and she said it was true so i felt okay and went for the next training. Theo kept making passes at me but i told him i was not interested all i wanted was to work on being a model "
Theo: Again. another lie. Luckily the Kaka she mentioned who was in the Spice Girls show is Still in touch and she has denied knowledge of any training after the show, never left for Port Harcourt and never got a call from Emilia concerning being at any training. If Emilia didn’t have a phone as she claimed how did she put a call through to Kaka immediately to confirm training... too many Iies. Kaka is available to confirm this and my colleagues at the time Will also confirm that this never took place at the office.
Emilia: “It was on the third training. He said they were making use of the studio we normally use, so we are to use another. There were people working there. so there was nothing to be worried about. He went to the new studio and started the same routine. Then he came and grabbed me. I told him to stop I’m not like that. Next thing I knew, he had thrown me (o the fIoor and overpowered me. All I could remember was the pain and the blood: it was everywhere. I kept shouting and shouting and screaming. but no one came. It was years later I realised that the door was soundproof cos is a studio. I never knew till I started working as a presenter. I was just l6 and naive and never had any exposure. That Spice Girl [competition] was the first time I was allowed out of the home. I did not even have a phone by then. All messages and calls were through my mum phone”
Theo: “First of all going from downstairs in the office building to any other part of the building cannot be hidden based on the floor plan of the Soundcity building in Lekki. The recording studio “as shared by Soundcity, Spice TV, Village Square (now Trybe). It was not possible for anyone to have the studio to themselves without approval from the supervising producer and cameramen attached to the person. So having any studio to myself was impossible talk less of attempting to rape someone and then clean blood The studio was a very busy place that had a 24-hour shooting schedule because of the four different channels that shared it.
Second, the other studio is where the cameramen and PA‘s usually stay to rest “whlle waiting for the next shoot. So to take her there i must have asked all the cameramen to leave the studio so I could go in with a girl to have sex... very unrealistic If you ask anybody that has worked there at the time or now. The events described in Emilia’s story could possibly last three hours. how is this possible in a very busy work environment as it was and no one noticed blood or shouting. it is not about being soundproofed. it is entirely impossible. Emilia’s story is entirely falsified.
Emilia: ”He then came and was begging that he thought I was like other girls when I told him I was I6 That he thought it way just using modeling age and [that] he [couldn’t believe there could be a virgin anymore. I caught a cold that day and fell sick. He kept turning me around and was cleaning the blood but I was more like a dead body. I did not care any more what he was doing. He got me dressed and held me at my back leading the way out and making sure no one spoke to me. He put me in a bus home and when I got home"
Theo: For me to make sure no one spoke to her, this means there must have been people in the studio or around then that would testify in favour of her statement that they saw me carry a woman out of the studio into a bus or observed distress on her face, or anything out of the ordinary.
The way the Soundcity studio is positioned, you will need to pass through so many open offices before you get to the studio upstairs. And for someone that said she fell sick and felt like a dead body, before you can carry her out stained with blood out of a studio, at least 15 people will see the girl and the stains and alarms will be raised. This is not rocket science.
Emilia: “I was too broken to make any statement. All I could say was bye and went into my room and that was the end of me going for the training. But he kept calling my mum that there were jobs for me which she thought I went to, but never knew I used those times to go sort for ushering jobs, which I got I was able to get a phone from. Then one day, I got a call from him. I was so scared, but he begged me, [saying] he was sorry and wanted to see me face to face to apologise.”
Theo: “So at this point she said she has cut me off and has been lying to her mum to go for ushering jobs: if she got a new phone and got a new number and had cut me off how dld I get her new number? Dld she call me With the new phone after cutting me off. These are all questions that need answers.
Emilia: “I agreed to meet with him in an open place, but then again I didn’t know anywhere. I was 17 then. We agreed to meet at Ikeja cos I had a casting there. Him knowing I was still naive told me of an eatery which I never knew was closed. I got there after my casting and discovered the Mr Biggs was closed. Turning to leave I saw him at my back. He said so I just wanted to leave like that, that he also did not know the restaurant is closed.”
Theo: “She said she has been going out on her own for ushering jobs but suddenly doesn‘t know anywhere Then a certain Mr Biggs closes in broad day light or maybe I asked them to close up so I can take Emilia home. Maybe I was that rich to close down a whole eatery. Let me state that I never requested that we meet at any eatery in lkeja.”
Emilia: “He said we [should] go to another down the road. Either I was just as a fool then or I was still very naive at 17 or I just don’t know. I followed him into his car still believing we were heading to a restaurant to talk things over but no. Theo managed to fool me into his house, pushed me in as soon as I entered and raped me once more, then started crying and begging [that] it was a mistake that he can’t get enough of me. He gave me an infection from day one and kept adding to it and I never knew I was suffering from STD. There was no one close enough to tell me that and he was too wicked to even treat me. He just left me like that with it till many years later before I found out and got myself treated.”
Theo: “There is no way I could have taken her home because I was staying with my uncle in Ikeja and wasn't allowed to bring females home. First of all it was impossible to enter the house I lived in then Without a security man opening the gate and my uncle had an office In the same building. so the possibility of dragging her out of a car and dragging her into a house and a room to rape her is highly preposterous. Let me state that I never took Emilia to my house.
Emilia “Thank it did not damage my womb, neither did I get pregnant, cos I did not even know anything about getting pregnant. I was too naive and stupid. He said he wanted a relationship and that I am God-sent to him. He kept bugging my phone with calls and messages until the day I fell and did a job for him because I knew the lady he wanted me to work for and he also sent me the number of the girl who I was to work with – Sisi Oge in Ijebu Ode.”
Theo: “So alter multiple rapes, tricking you to meet at the (closed up) restaurant then forcing you into my house to rape you; I still manage to ask you to come to travel to another state with me and you come With me? I will leave this part to the readers to analyse. Let me categorically state here that no Sisi Oge show ever happened in ljebu Ode. the organiser of the Sisi Oge show, ldris Aregbe can attest to the fact that Sisi Oge has always been a Lagos Event.
Emilia: “I really thought he had changed like he claimed all went well. I and Breda were sharing the same room. Then the camera men had theirs, he had his own. The popular TV presenter of Soundcity was there so I felt at home till the night before the day we were to leave. Theo came to our door and was calling my name. I refused going as my mind starting recalling that he might want to do the same. It was 2am. Brenda saw how scared I was and asked me what the issue was. I told her I am scared of him, that he might hurt me. She was quick to understand so she said don’t worry he won’t harm you when I am here. He kept calling out my name then started banging the door.”
Theo: “So 2am (quiet time) at a hotel and no one heard my voice shouting your name. The hotel staffers must have been deep in sleep to not have heard me banging the door, my cameramen. PA and so called Soundcity presenter too must have been dead or deaf not to hear. Emilia will need to present the Brenda in question and the Soundcity presenter that were present at this hotel. Since they are key witnesses to her story. Whatever Brenda she presents Will be verified by SPlCETV HR as former staff of the company to avoid fake witnesses. Plus the name of the hotel in ljebu so we verify broken down doors from the time of incidence. This should be available as evidence.
Emilia: “Next thing, he broke down the door and came to the bed where I and Brenda was, and dragged me out to his room. He locked the door beat me up then raped me, all the while saying no one can do anything; that he is their boss and he is paying them, and that no one can ever have me in this world till he is done with me.”
Theo: “So first I break down a Hotel door and no one shows up then a fellow girl like you Brenda could not go and call for help (she must be a monster herself) after the door is broken and l forcefully drag you. And as for the Soundclty presenter and cameramen they must be devil reincarnates to hear you screaming and just stay quiet in their room. I maintain that Brenda. the camera men and the presenter Will need to attest to Emilia’s claim here because I am certain that these events never happened.
Emilia: ”To cut the story short, we got back to Lagos and he started blackmailing me that he had my nudes and that he will publish it. They were actually bikini pictures I took, which then I felt were not decent coming from the home I come from, but cos he showed me [photographs of others like me who he said I had to copy] if I was to make it in the modelling industry, I went ahead and took those bikini pictures, seeing all as training I am suppose to do if I am to be a model. He said if I don’t keep seeing him, he will make them public and that was how I continued to get raped until he travelled abroad and forgot about me.”
Theo: “It is shameful that she saw my wedding picture and remembered I promised her marriage years back This also shows that she is not happy her marriage because no happily married woman grows bitter and envious over an old friend's wedding pictures. Clearly, her post is not intended to send warning to young girls, It was Intended lo end a l2 year career, destroy a fresh marriage in a heartbeat and generate publicity for herself.
I am not perfect and I am a man with many flaws just like everyone reading this. I am happily married and have a family to look after. I appeal to every one of my aggrieved exes to know that I am sorry if I hurt them. I have been a player in the past and have broken many hearts but I am different now and every day I pray for God to make me a better person, a better leader and a better husband to my wife.
I am STRONGLY against Rape.
l have female presenters I worked with at Spice TV. They can all testify that I never sexually harassed them in all my time as producer at Soundcity/Spice TV.
I don't believe in using my job or position to get a girl in bed, I believe it is wrong and should not be encouraged. I am a good man. I love God with all my heart, working in God's vineyard and giving all my life to servicing him. I deserve Justice, this battle is not my battle. It is God's battle. I have helped over 200 people gain employment at the different stages of my career without asking for anything in return.
Let me also add that over the years, I have worked on so many pageants and reality shows involving hundreds and thousands of young women and anyone can confirm from the organisers that there has never, and I repeat NEVER, been a case of sexual assault.
Again I am not perfect. I have my flaws and imperfection and this post is not intended to make me look like the all glorious good guy. it is just what it is. a rejoinder.
l have lost my job and almost lost my young marriage in this process, I am not the monster Emilia has painted in her story.
I am not a Rapist. I stand against Rape!!!
I am using this medium to say that I forgive all those that have made crazy angry comments about me and have said bad things about me on social media. May God also forgive you.
Although I am unable to comprehend the reason behind this malicious defamation, l publicly forgive Emilia Samuel and her team, l hope she gets help and repents. This sort of falsified story makes it difficult to believe a real Rape Victim.
For those who were angry because I didn't respond to the allegation on time and have called me all sorts of name, I pray God gives you wisdom to understand that Marriage is the most important part of a man's life and that you have to quench the fire in your house first before quenching the one outside Bible says. He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing; Proverbs 18:22
My Legal Team will file proper official reports in the coming days but I just needed to tell my own side of the story.
Thanks for taking out time to read patiently and may every eyes that have read this see 2019 with joy and victory in Jesus name. Selah

In Open Letter, Linda Ikeji Reveals Many 'Girls Without Money Or A Voice' Have Been Raped By Theo Ukpaa

Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji, has written an open letter to Theo Ukpaa, her former staffer whom she sacked over allegations that he raped a lady, Emilia Samuel, when she was 16 years old.
In the letter, which was released on Friday on her blog, Linda warned Theo that if he does not stop calling his rape victims liars, she will get him arrested.
The allegation against Ukpaa came two days after his wedding, when Emilia Samuel released details of how she was raped several times by Theo at the age of 16.
Emilia, who is now married with two children, had revealed that her path and Theo’s crossed when she made it to the top three of a spice girl competition organised by entertainment channel, Soundcity.SEE ALSODays After His Wedding, Linda Ikeji’s Staffer Theo Ukpaa Accused Of Rape
However, Ukpaa released a statement, stating that it would have been “entirely impossible” for him to have raped Emilia at the time.
A few hours after Theo’s statement hit the Internet, Linda came out with an open letter to him.
Linda’s letter read: “Dear Theo Ukpaa, I have known you for many years and I've shown you nothing but love and kindness and made you the head of my TV channel, but listen my dear friend, if you dare release another statement denying what you did or calling another one of your victims a liar, not only will I expose you, I will have you arrested and charged to court where you can go defend yourself properly.
“These girls – and I didn't say girl, I said girls – may not have a voice, money or time to take it up with you but I do, so please don't test me.
“I know more than most and right now I can't tell you how ashamed I am to have given you another chance in my organisation. You weren't sacked solely over Emilia's story. I am not so stupid that I would let go of the person I relied on the most to help me run my TV channel over a story by someone I don't know. You were dismissed last year, remember? And I'd never heard of Emilia or her story.
“If you think I am going to sit back and watch you victimise your victims, or humiliate them further by making them seem like liars, you have another thing coming. What you need now is seek help and if you're too ashamed to do so, at least hide your head in shame and don't dare call another girl a liar. Please don't make me come for you, Theo! Be warned!”
